What is recorded

• Your name and contact details — the name, mobile number, email address and street address you give the agent at the start of a quotation.
• Your roof — its location, and a satellite measurement of its area, orientation and sunlight. This is obtained from Google’s Solar API using the coordinates of the property. Where Google holds no data, the agent traces the roof outline by hand on a map instead.
• Your electricity use — monthly consumption and the rate you pay, entered by the agent, together with the appliances you describe.
• The quotation itself — the system designed for you, its bill of materials, and the price.

Photographs of an electricity bill are never stored. Where a bill is photographed, only the figures are kept — the image itself is read and discarded, and is not written to disk, to a database, or to a log.

Why, and on what basis

To prepare your quotation, to follow it up, and to honour it if you accept it. Your agreement is asked for explicitly at the start of the quotation and recorded with the date and time it was given. Nothing here is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.

How long it is kept

Your details are kept until you ask for them to be removed. There is no automatic expiry: a quotation that did not go ahead this year is often revisited later, and Soltech keeps the record so the conversation can be picked up rather than started again.

You can ask for removal at any time, and you do not have to give a reason.

Having your details removed

Ask us, using any of the routes on the contact section of our site. When we act on it:

• Your name, mobile number, email address and street address are deleted permanently.
• The address, map coordinates and satellite imagery of your roof are stripped from every quotation you are attached to, along with the stored analysis of your roof.
• The quotations themselves are kept without you — the system size, the equipment and the price, with nothing that identifies whose roof it was. Soltech needs its own record of what it has quoted and sold; that record no longer points at you.

This cannot be undone, and it is not reversible from a backup.

Who else sees it

The coordinates of your property are sent to Google in order to measure your roof from satellite imagery. Nothing that identifies you — no name, no contact details, no account number — is sent with them.

If you let us photograph your electricity bill, a cropped part of it — the consumption figures only — is sent to a Google artificial-intelligence service to be read. That service is operated outside the Philippines, so that part of your bill is read overseas. Your name, service address and account number are cut away before anything is sent, and never leave the device. Google states that on the free service we use, material sent for reading may be used to improve their products, which is why only that crop is ever sent. You can decline this and have the agent type the figures instead; nothing about your quotation changes if you do.

Records are held on infrastructure operated by Google Cloud and Supabase on Soltech’s behalf, and are not shared with anyone else.

All of this is processed and stored outside the Philippines. The servers Soltech uses, and the services that measure your roof and read your bill, are operated abroad. Philippine law permits this, and Soltech remains responsible for your information wherever it is held.
